Maximize Your Potential
Elizabeth has been teaching in the Pearl River County School District as a 7th/8th Grade Science teacher since 2011. During this time, she has coached the PRCMS Jr. Blue Angels for two years, organized the 8th grade Volleyball Tournament, and started the school’s Instagram account. She also served on the Leadership Team and the Academic Rally Team as well as served as the Science Department Chair for 4 years.
After attending numerous PDs on our new State Science Standards and participating in the Writing/Analyzing committees for DRC (our new Science State Test company), Elizabeth has led PDs within the Science Department to discuss unpacking our standards, creating rigorous test questions, and understanding our data. As department chair, she led weekly meetings with the 6/7/8 science teachers, co-led Science meetings with the Middle and High school for scaffolding and data analysis, and co-led the PLCs with the Social Studies departments.

Technology with Purpose:
Technology is becoming a normal part of our daily classroom routine. We must ask ourselves, are we using technology just to check a box or are we using technology to enhance learning?
